The planner board is made of four boards. The Technician Planner Board is there to give the service manager the ability to review their team, either as a day, week, or month view. There, organising technicians, filtered by user-led criteria, is easy and makes short work of seeing who is where, and when.

The Service Order Planner Board, on the other hand focuses on service orders: which are at play in a given period. It too gives day, week and month views. There, it is easy to decide which service order takes priority and check that everyone and everything needed for it is available.

The Crew Planner Board is similar to the Techinian Planner board, but there focus on pre-assigned crews of technicians where it is the crew that is managed rather than the individuals it is made of.

Finally, there is the Rental Planner Board that is for managers operating a fleet of rental machines.

Each board has its specific focus, and with that focus comes particular features best suited to the different uses these boards serve. Not all features are needed for all boards and this Figma introduction is the best way to see what you can or can’t do in each.

Meanwhile, it is worth remembering that all Shepherd developments are user-, not coder-led,  meaning what is there is by popular demand, giving those users exactly what they need, not more, and certainly not less.
