As a NetSuite-native solution, Shepherd’s mission is twofold: to extend powerful functionality within NetSuite and to make day-to-day processes simpler, faster, and more efficient for customers. The Rental module has been a major area of user-driven development in recent years, and the Rental Contracts Page is one of the results of this work.
Making the Rental Contracts Page easy to access in the Shepherd Mobile App is key. Technicians and rental personnel in the field can now view the contracts linked to their Service Orders directly, giving them clarity about what’s covered and the status of their work.
The app’s design keeps things simple. Filters allow technicians to narrow down their view by rental customer or Service Order date: the two quickest ways to find what matters. For more refinement, results can be sorted in ascending or descending order. Once the right contract is located, the page displays the details clearly: start and end dates, locations, equipment, accessories, and rental packages, with customisations of how information is displayed also possible.
The result is a streamlined process: technicians get the information they need on-site, without back-and-forth queries, while managers retain full control over what’s displayed. By bridging NetSuite and mobile access, Shepherd ensures rental operations run smoothly, saving time, reducing confusion, and strengthening customer service.
