Shepherd’s Crew Manager Copy Time feature streamlines how time is recorded for field teams with a team (or crew) manager, making it faster, more consistent, and less prone to errors. Ideal for service scenarios involving multiple technicians, this tool allows a designated crew manager to log time entries for themselves and their team in one go—cutting down on repetitive admin while increasing accuracy. By centralizing time entry, it can even reduce overall licensing needs, as fewer users may need access to the time-logging interface.

With a single click, a crew manager can begin a new time entry and apply it across multiple technicians on the job. Fields such as service duration, technician selection, and task details are easily filled out, with optional fields like start and end times or custom notes included as needed. This flexibility means that while entries can be copied en masse, they remain editable for individual variations—ensuring billing and time tracking remain precise.

Technicians’ time entries are clearly organized into two tabs: Mine (for the Crew Manager’s own time) and Crew (for other selected technicians). This clear separation helps prevent confusion and gives the Crew Manager complete visibility into who’s been accounted for. The ability to copy data with a toggle switch drastically reduces the time spent entering similar records while minimizing the chances of discrepancies or duplicate entries across the crew’s timesheets.

Even once entries are copied, they can be reviewed, edited, or deleted before submission. Once finalized, the collective time data flows directly into NetSuite as part of the associated Service Order, with full traceability showing which Crew Manager submitted the time on behalf of the team.

Ultimately, this feature supports better field coordination, fewer admin bottlenecks, and faster billing cycles. Easy logging of service data with increased paving the way for fewer, if any, corrections and swifter billing.
